Made SIC codes mandatory. Changed the process of validating a business to be simpler. Fixed a bug in the popup windows which caused the wrong url to be loaded in the parent window after close.
Added the new 2007 SIC Code database to the system. Businesses can now be classified by this. Added a SIC Code search page - allowing you to find codes by number or description, then find businesses matching either the code, or the description... Added the 'Has Jobs' icon to the business info bar. Fixed the counting mechanism so the job counts for businesses are now correct. Added 'Has Website' option to business search.
Still on a spam-busting mission: All email addresses (i.e. in 'Contact Details' for Businesses and People) are now converted to images to prevent spambots picking them up.
On a spam-busting mission: Added human-verification text to registration page. Added limits to creating new items. (Premium listings will have different limits when they arrive).
Added 'Editor' option to User's 'General Preferences'. This allows users to switch off the WYSIWYG editor, should they desire. The benefits are: Faster performance, and direct HTML editing of full-description fields (for those who prefer to write in HTML).
Business Reviews added... Users can now write reviews, with ratings, for any business.
Search text can now be cleared. Tweaked the database settings to give better search results. Added 'London' as a county. Enabled compressor on the WYSIWYG editor to improve performance...
Bug in saved searches fixed. Most recent updates added to home page...
Products functionality has been disabled. Due to current hardware constraints, our server would be unable to handle the volume of data this would require. We are concentrating on building the core data set of businesses, and once commercially viable, the products functionality will be re-enabled. Products and stock data imports have been disabled.
Fixes: 1) IS_ADMIN notice no longer appears. 2) Business & description choosers no longer lose the business ID. 3) Image uploaded for help pages. 4) Image upload problem fixed.
Alerts and Support Tickets have been disabled. These will be re-enabled once the system is fully tested, and the volume of requests is significant.
Qosh will now be supported directly by Top-Cat. Bugs will be fixed and marketing will be done...
Qosh is a very fast and powerful system. It's able to cope with millions of records, and it's far easier to use than any other system we've seen. It's also easy to enhance, and there is more functionality already written..
This version fixes some bugs: Descriptions can now contain commas. Duplicated product options removed.

You can now select your business from our UK database (1.6M businesses), and register yourself as a user - all in one...

You can now easily browse products by category in the products search page...
The categories browser shows a list of categories you can choose, and the number of products in the category.
If you hover over the category name, it will show you the number of products in this category, and also in it's children.
If you have entered a search term, the number of matching products in each category is shown... This funtionality is expensive in terms of processor time, and may be switched off at our discretion. the aim is, eventually, to have a dedicated categories server which will take care of this activity...
We now have a database of 1.6 million businesses you can select from when you create a new business.
This makes adding your business as easy as 1-2-3. If it's not already in the database, you can still add your business the good old-fashioned way, it doesn't take long.
Update: Move complete. Our new host is FastHosts...
In order to provide the next major upgrade, we have to move Qosh to hosting with more space. We need to store about 400Mb of business data to allow people to prepopulate their business details from a list of known businesses...
This should be seamless, and will take place within the next week.

Qosh lists people, businesses, products, stock, jobs, and info-pages.
A personal listing on Qosh is similar to a listing in the phone book.
All a businesses products can be listed in Qosh, along with stock levels. You can have multiple branches selling the same or different stock. You can also list products you have for sale personally.
Jobs are situations vacant. Any business can list all the positions they have vacancies for, and job seekers can search for them...
Info pages are pages which can contain any info you like (including HTML). A link to each of your info pages is displayed with your listing in your 'Info Bar'. An example might be: a restaurant includes a 'Menu' info page. Another: A person looking for work might create a 'My CV' Info page...
